The Weather’s Been Grey & So Have We!
We feel a little responsible for yet another disappointing British summer. After all it was going so well with the Met office promising a long and hot Indian style summer and we even backed this up with an optimistic news article to boost our doom and gloom attitudes born out of the worlds financial crisis.
So I guess we should hold our hands up and take some of the blame for building your hopes, but in true British fashion we’re going to have a dig at the Met office. You might be wondering what does the Met office have in common with fashion, but it seems that in our case it’s considerably more than you might imagine.
Built hopes then dashed spirits ultimately leads to fashion meltdown! Sombre and drab grey colours and miserable faces seem to be taking over our highstreets. The promised bright floral prints, vivid fashion colours and happy nautical themes are already becoming a glimpse of the past. We are here to revive your spirits once again by saying that there’s still nearly the whole month of August left, and for many of us there’s the possibility of a nice September of peace and luxury when kids go back to school. So let’s build our hopes again and look forward to that Indian summer we have been promised by dressing in those bright summer colours and donning those summer fashion accessories. Rest assured if the weather does go completely pear shaped we can always point the finger of blame at the unfortunate Met Office!
