Seasons Wishes For X Factor Cheryl Tweedy (Cole)
It’s been all go this week for our favourite X Factor girls, Cheryl Tweedy (was Cole, now Tweedy) and Dannii Minogue – and not for the same reasons.
Poor Cheryl is currently in hospital, having been diagnosed with malaria, which she is thought to have contracted during a recent holiday in Tanzania. The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor presenter collapsed on Saturday afternoon, having felt unwell for several days. She was rushed into intensive care at The Cromwell Hospital, London, which has a specific treatment centre for tropical diseases.
Malaria, if left untreated for too long, can lead to brain and kidney damage, being caused by a bite from an infected mosquito.
Although Cheryl is still very poorly, doctors are hopeful and she has been moved out of intensive care.
Meanwhile, much happier news for Dannii Minogue, who gave birth to Ethan Edward Smith yesterday. Details are still sketchy, but it is thought that both mum and baby are doing very well.
We would like to congratulate Dannii and Kris, and the team at Seasons wish Cheryl a speedy recovery.
