Kylie Loves Glitzy & Cute Jewels!
Bears are set to be all the rage in 2010, with Spanish jewellers 'Tous’ having announced that eternal effervescent princess Kylie Minougue will be the face of its new collection.
The fabulously flirty promotional video has been much publicised, with our Kylie acting the role as confused fifties burlesque cabaret performer and hapless magician – quite a mix! She manages to pull both a handkerchief and a rabbit out of a hat and produce flames from a book – all of course whilst looking fabulous.
Other shots include Kylie getting her kit off once more and lounging saucily in a pink bedroom with odd “partygoers” dotted around to keep her entertained. Of course, as ever with the Aussie singer, it’s all done “in the best possible taste!”
Tous has a bear in all its various forms, sizes and settings as its trademark piece and you’ll find it cleverly designed into necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings.
Until 1985, Tous concentrated on providing jewellery for Spanish royalty. However, the decision was taken at that time to open up the market and produce pieces for us regular fashionistas and the teddy bear was chosen as a symbol as it was considered to be “classic and not stiff, lively and full with modern feelings”. Quite.
